Senior Production Manager - East London - East London

Minimum requirements:
1.National Diploma in Production Management or related field (NQF 5) OR studying towards a relevant qualification.
2.Minimum of 3 years leadership experience within an automotive manufacturing environment.
3.Familiar with machining and assembly environment.
4.Familiar with current labour legislation and best people leadership practices, like Mission Directed Work teams (MDW).
5.Familiar with Problem Solving Techniques.
6.Mechanical skills for adjustments on the product lines.
7.Understanding of quality management principles.
8.Deep understanding of spot welding processes, technologies and parameters adjustment.
9.Knowledge in the operation and programming of KUKA Robots system KRC 2 or 4.
10.Ability to learn and understand different / new robot software easily and quickly.
11.Knowledge in glue application systems.
12.Knowledge in quality management ISO TS 16946-2009.
13.Computer literacy (Microsoft Excel & Word)

Duties:
1.Supervising, planning, organizing and controlling production output.
2.Advise and implement improvements pertaining to process flow, production output and effective utilization of employees.
3.Administration functions.
4.Welding, Robot optimization on all lines.
5.New product welding programs development.
6.Continuous improvement efforts e.g. cost & time of welding procedures.
7.Control of welding consumables.
8.Working Shifts.
9.Manage attendance and timekeeping.
10.Ensuring customer requirements and daily / monthly production and sales targets are met.
11.Manage operational cost with the emphasis on waste elimination.
12.Ensuring safety, health, environmental and quality standards are adhered to.
13.Implementation of MDW program.
14.Providing on-the-job training to all subordinates
